Wyn grew up in the midwest. He has been drawing since an early age. After graduating from Central University of Oklahoma, Wyn has lived in Boulder, CO, Tulsa, OK, Atlanta, GA, and Raleigh, NC. After a thirty-three year career with IBM, Wyn fell in love with plein-air painting. Now, living the artist's life, he is devoted to being the best painter he can be. He says, "I like to spend some time observing the scene before I start the painting process. What does the scene say to me and how can I best portray that on my canvas?".

Wyn has studied with some of the finest plein-air artists living today. They include Armand Cabrera, Charles Sovek, Ann Templeton, Marc Hanson, and Bob Rohm.

Wyn has recently been juried into the Fine Arts League of Cary's Annual Art Exhibition and was awarded a purchase award for his work titled "Dancing Trees".

A longtime Atlanta resident, Nancy Franke grew up in Pennsylvania, began studying painting at a young age, majored in Fine Arts at Wilson College, and went on to receive a Masters Degree at UNC. She has further studied with Gregg Kreutz, Sherrie McGraw, Kenn Backhaus, Kim English and other prominent painters.

Nancy focuses on plein air landscape, as well as still life and figurative paintings; she enjoys the inspiration and variety of different subjects. With the looseness and spontaneity of her technique, Franke's paintings are warm, inviting and intimate. In the artist's words, "I seek to capture the flow of light in a lively and fresh manner. I paint primarily from life, and enjoy the challenge of catching the moment."

An award-winning painter, Nancy has participated in numerous group shows, and her paintings are in many collections. Most recently, she had paintings accepted into the prestigious 2006 and 2007 National Oil Painters of America Exhibitions.

Gazala was leading a challenging career path for 25 years in Corporate America long before her artworks had started to garner accolades from the international art community. While continuing her corporate management career, Gazala enrolled in the School of Visual Arts Continuing Education program, and later she was to join the renowned Parsons School in New York, when her original works started to reflect the styles, techniques and textures of the Masters she had studied.

An emerging artist, Gazala is fast gaining her reputation by rendering images in oil on canvas captured from her extensive travels in Europe the USA and India. Her landscapes, abstracts and figurative abstracts stay true to the styles of the 20th century Master Impressionists she has studied.

Susan Nicholas Gephart, a 1979 BFA graduate of PSU, has been painting award winning landscapes “Plein Air” thirty years. Susan’s deep appreciation of the earth is seen in her colorful, impressionistic pastels and oils. She has shown with The Pastel Society of America, The Art of the State of Pennsylvania, and is in the permanent collection of The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art.  Susan and her father Thomas Nicholas will have a retrospective entitled, “Landscape Passages,” at SAMA, in Loretto, PA, through June ’07. Susan organizes artist retreats at Hameau Farm Studio in Belleville, PA.

Anne H. Goldberg is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she taught Saturday classes in drawing and painting as well as exhibited her work. As a
working artist, Anne enjoys painting on location the local scenes near her home at the Jersey Shore as well as the autumn colors of Nantucket Island each fall.

Mary Hagy is a native Kentuckian born in 1950 and has been a full time painter for 30 years. One of the regions most collected artists; her first print release in 1981 of an edition of 2,000 was a 3 month sellout. She works exclusively in oils and is widely recognized for her luminous bucolic landscapes often featuring water. Collectors are captivated by her love of detail, with some paintings taking months to complete. Ellie Harold works exclusively in oil creating both plein air and studio landscape images. Ellie began painting 4 years ago when a series of sleepless nights pointed her in the direction of art. She retired from a career in ministry and now works full-time painting. Largely self-taught, she has participated in workshops with Armand Cabrera, Alec Moseley and Dee Beard Dean.

Ellie paints on a regular basis in Vieques, Puerto Rico, Martha's Vineyard, MA and Cornwall, England. She is represented by galleries in Atlanta and Vieques.

Brenda Hofreiter is a fourth-generation Floridian. It was during her Fellowship at Crealde' School of Art that she discovered her passion for plein air painting. Brenda says, "I love the natural world and painting landscapes from life is a perfect fit for my artistic nature. Witnessing how the sun transforms the world is a constant joy, and capturing the changing light in paint is certainly never boring!"

Her plein air oil paintings have been accepted and won awards in numerous local, regional and national juried shows. Brenda has been selected as Artist in Residence in State Parks in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida and her plein air oil paintings are included in their permanent collections. In my paintings I seek to paint with nature in front of me. I feel that in order to paint well, specifically the landscape, means that I need to be right there- on location in open air .

The landscape has always held fascination for me. It is a reflection of creation, and it is a personal reflection.

I seek to capture light and color in my pictures in a way that is painterly. I strive for a fresh, clean feel whenever possible. I also am working to attain a look that may appear effortless. And yet I learn something every time I paint. That is the joy of painting!

Hubley draws from the invisible forces of nature. She paints the wild places, ancient things, and the people who enjoy them. She tries to stretch beyond the mere technical to reveal its energy; its indefinable spirit. "I approach a subject quietly. I consider what it says. Does it exude softness? Excitement? I take time to smell the air and listen to the wind. This sets the soul of my painting."

Mary grew up in the Philadelphia art scene, surrounded by her mother's entourage of astonishing artist friends. "I was fascinated by their total inability to be structured, their aptitude for the dramatic, and their uncanny ways of shifting the mundane into magic." She majored in fine art and writing at Thomas Edison State College and received a B.A. in Humanities. She has done commercial freelancing, illustration on staff with several corporations, and has illustrated several books.
